The Fog
LOL! You probably think that driving is the most hazardous thing about fog. What
you don't know is that there are undead pirate ghosts that were killed 100 years
ago when they mistook a campfire for a lighthouse along the coast of, ummmmmm,
Lake Hefner (insert your local lake's name here). They then advance along in the
fog, wreaking their terrible vengeance on the residents of, ummmmmm...Canton?
Okay, that plot broke down pretty quickly, especially the fact that not only were
there no pirates on lakes in Oklahoma 100 years ago, most of those lakes probably
didn't exist either. John Carpenter did a much better job with this story.
Jamie Lee Curtis didn't just get chased by Jason back in the day, you know. Well
obviously you DIDN'T know because she got chased by Michael Meyers, not Jason!
At any rate, the fog has been thick out there this morning, thinks to a near-
saturated boundary layer following last night's cold front passage.
Luckily the temperatures are staying above normal down in the foggy areas,
otherwise you'd wish for undead pirate ghosts over the worst fog scourge of all,
FREEZING FOG!
However, with the wind it is quite chilly out there, especially across NW
OK.
We're still watching the storm system for tomorrow which should bring much of
the state appreciable moisture, as well as some flash flooding concerns across
central and eastern Oklahoma.
Temperatures today should get close to where you'd expect to be this time of
year (I expected to be in Hawaii...was I way off or what??), except down across
S OK where that front is expected to stall out.
Still no frozen stuff in the forecast. Very thankful for the lack of ice for
the season thus far, at least.
Ice storms vs. marauding vengeful undead pirate ghosts?
Bring on the ghosts!
