Why not?

YES! We are back to resorting to trickery to try and give us some winter
excitement. There's just gotta be something more scintillating that endless dry
cold fronts. We have had a few areas this winter with more than flurries, but
not TOO many. Haworth, a small town of 297 in McCurtain County, has led the way
with 4.3 inches. Jay and Idabel are the only other volunteer reporting stations
that have had more than 2 inches with 2.3" and 2", respectively. Very odd to have
far eastern OK stations lead the way with snowfall, but that's the winter of
2021-22, right? Here are the seasonal totals thus far for the entire contiguous
U.S. I'll throw 2020-21's totals through the same period for comparison's sake. It
does look like maybe we've had areas with a bit more scattered about, the totals
just weren't reported.

So while we have yet another cold front coming through later tonight that will
chill us down for a few days, at least we have a chance for some snow. At least
SOME lucky folks do. You have probably gleaned (and we all know just how
painful a good gleaning can be) by now that I hate winter. But if winter is
inevitable...you know, like Thanos...we might as well get some snow to go along
with the rest of the misery. These temperatures though? No thanks!

With the snow chances, some of it is conditional, especially across southern
Oklahoma. Conditional like "hey, if it happens it happens." Northern OK chances
are more for later today into tomorrow, and the southern stuff is more Wednesday
into early Thursday, it would appear.

As our friends at the Tulsa NWS office caution for later this week, stay tuned
to forecasts...3-4 days out, still a chance for things to change for the worse
(or better...depending on your disposition).

Other than that bit of *POSSIBLE* excitement, we'll warm up later into the
weekend and await our next whatever, whatever that whatever may be.
