Fire nipping at your nose
A white Christmas? Yeah, from falling ash!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Oh. Well, you started it. Not only is it not gonna snow on Christmas, it's gonna
be more like Christmas in Australia than Oklahoma. Granted, we will see a "cold"
front for Christmas Day that will cool us all the way down into the ...checks
notes...60s and 70s??
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Okay, let's not get that started again. But this is really farcical, no? Now
we have had a burst of winter (dry, of course) the last couple of days with
temperatures actually remaining somewhat below normal. Heck, temperatures
dipped down to as low as 3 degrees at Camargo, which is the lowest temperature
recorded by the Oklahoma Mesonet since Feb. 19. Yeah, we don't need to try too
hard to remember those days, but we've had just a hint of a memory this weekend.
So no worry about sleigh bells ringing, unless they get caught in the high
winds blowing into the barn on Friday when we see those gusts pick up in advance
of the front. With record highs possible, and those gusty dry winds, fire danger
will be the main concern.
No drought relief across most of Oklahoma. Eastern Oklahoma did get a good dose
from the storms with this weekend's front, reaching down into far south central
Oklahoma, but still too sparse farther west. Sparse as in nada.
So to sum it up, no snow as we get closer to Christmas. You might even have
trouble finding a freeze.
And then as we look farther out into fantasycast territory, there are signs of
cold air starting to plunge south after the New Year. You might think that's
crazy, but as for me and Grandpa, we believe.
