COME ON RAIN!
It's not too early for zombies, right? Even those that like turtles. Big secret,
however...turtles don't like droughts. We need this rain.
Wait, let's try that again.
We NEED this rain. WE need this rain. We need THIS rain. We need this RAIN.
In other words, we need this rain. The reason is obvious.
Relief *should* come this week with a couple of cutoff low pressure systems
out West that will head our way over the next few days. Along with that we'll
see a cold front on Thursday and a chance for severe storms on Tuesday. All
in all, we're talking about increased humidity, a prolonged chance of showers
and storms over the entire state (some have a better chance than others), and
milder more seasonable temperatures. Still some uncertainty, as was expected,
thanks to the cutoff nature of the weather systems ("Cutoff low, weatherperson's
woe!).
We're going to be going from mid-Summer to mid-Autumn in the course of a week,
as is usually the case for Oklahoma.
And MAYBE extend a bit of this into next week as well, right through the
weekend.
We've fallen for this before, you know. I'm just gonna go with the "rain gauge
half full" sentiments this week (and next), because the last thing I want to
be doing is having "Trick or Drought" in a month!
