Snow!

SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! Snow snow snowwwww snow snooooooowwwwww snow snow, snow snow
(snow!) snow snowwwwwwwwwwwww snow!!

Yes, it's the early November overreaction to an inch of snow that I'm prone to,
but to heck with it...if it's going to be this cold, it might as well snow
somewhere in the state. No, it's not going to snow where YOU are, unless it does.
That's my official forecast (see what I did there?).

Okay, seriously, as this storm system moves in from the west and travels across
the state, there is a good possibility that we'll have a column of air above the
surface below freezing long enough so any snow that forms up there in the ether
doesn't melt on the way down, becoming sleet or a cold rain. Not saying that's
a guarantee, sleet is a definite possibility as well, but maybe we'll get lucky.
Remember, it's that vertical profile of temperature that is vital in getting those
magical feathery creations of Mother Nature to survive until the surface.

And we're just talking an inch here (maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less).

And soil temperatures are still up there a bit, but they are starting to cool
down with the prolonged cooler weather.

So snow accumulations will be possible. For the rest of us, well, we get a cold
rain.

Some chilly weather in store, just check out these low temperature forecasts.

The highs ain't much better!

So let it snow, let it snow, let it snowwwwwwwww...for the northwest.

The rest of us, let it cold rain, let it cold rain, let it cold raiiinnnnnnn.

Ugh.
