It's over

Yes, NBA legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, we're sorry to see the heat
go as well. Our Indian Summer (and I mean REALLY summer for southern OK
yesterday) has finally ended for awhile.

Indian Summer has several different definitions amongst weather types, but I
prefer with the standard "period of above to well-above normal temperatures in
October or early November after the first hard frost. Well, we've had the hard
frost, and as we saw above, we had several days of well-above normal temps. Lots
of records were set over the weekend (shattered, really) over the Southern Plains.

So what are we left with? Well, November-ish weather. A dank, gray day today with
drizzle and temperatures in the 50s mostly, struggling to climb into the 50s
in the NW and creeping into the 60s down south. Much of the same the rest of
the week...cool days, cold nights and a decent chance of rain this afternoon
through Wednesday. Nothing too heavy, but moisture nonetheless.

And if it's going to be cool and wet in November, that generally means a risk
of the white stuff up in the Panhandle.

The 80s and 90s are probably over for awhile, if not until next year, with the
exception of a rogue reading here or there. But, there's always next week?
