There's sNOw tomorrow

It might be 80 in southern Oklahoma, but we're talking the Panhandle, baby!

Snow today, gone tomorrow? I'm sure they hope so. There hasn't been much snow this
season, as warm and dry as it has been, so why not wait until April for a good
dose? We have reports of 4.5 inches of snow in Boise City at 12:25pm with heavy
snow still falling. Even farther east in the Texhoma area, where the above picture
was taken, we see the ground covered with the white stuff.

This storm might double what they've seen all season, as this national seasonal
analysis shows.

Current radar shows a mess of snow across the Panhandle and rain to the east,
which will eventually spread to the rest of the state.

Nice try, the rain, not the snow. PUT THAT SLED DOWN! For the folks in the
western and central Panhandle, however, they get to go sledding. At least where
there are hills. Might need to head towards Kenton for that type of action.
They're also under a winter weather advisory.

For us across the main body of Oklahoma ("down-staters" according to Panhandle
folks), we can expect rain and storms, with some of those storms being severe
at times. Especially across northeastern Oklahoma. Here are the latest severe
weather outlooks from the Storm Prediction Center. Or as we Panhandle folks
that work in the NWC call them..."the people across the hall."

There is a small tornado risk from central through northeast OK, but a greater
risk over a larger area for severe winds and large hail.

Lots of fun or non-fun today, depending on your disposition. Snow skiing today,
water skiing this weekend. WHAT A COUNTRY!
