Weekend storm, AND WARMTH, shaping up

When I hear "possible record-breaking temperatures" in December (or January or
February), I start to shiver already. But we do have possible record-breaking
temperatures coming up this weekend (I believe I've mentioned the possibility for
some HEAT recently???), but this time on the WARM side. Thursday will be warm-ish,
but the real mild weather arrives just in time for the weekend shopping, uhhhhh,
weekend. Check out these forecast highs and lows for Friday-Sunday.

All those mid-60s you see for highs ain't breaking no records, but they are a good
10-15 degrees above normal. That's a nice accomplishment in my book. Those lows
in the mid-50s, however, are going to be threatening the record high minimum
temperatures. For example, here are the record high minimum temperatures for
Dec. 10.

Like I said, if we don't break some records those mornings, we'll be close.

The best news, however, is that this warmth will come with some moisture. Sunday
appears to be the day of reckoning as a storm system arrives in conjunction with
all this mild, moist air in place, with some decent rainfall amounts possible
across Oklahoma (again, apologies to western Oklahoma...twas ever thus).

Sadly, that storm system will drop us back down to mid-December type weather with
highs in the 40s and lows back below freezing, but the next big outbreak of
arctic air is still not showing up.

But our chances for precipitation appear to be better than average, at least.

Hey, don't blame me, I'm not causing this! If you want snow, head north. WAYYY
north.

Don't bother with the bah humbugs this weekend...it'll just make you sweaty.
