Freeze Report
For the second straight weekend, sub-freezing temperatures threatened
Oklahoma's ag and hort industries. And, for the second straight week,
the Ticker has some data. The silver lining in this ice tray: this
weekend's maps aren't as ugly as those from last week.
Also, when you're dealing with freezing temps, keep in mind that this
is a very local process, which is something that most data outlets
(including this one) often neglect to mention. Low-lying areas, and
those along valleys and creeks, often freeze earlier and deeper than
relatively "regular" terrain around them.
