Massive Get Out The Heat Operation
In a move that deserves no further editorial comment, Mother Nature
chose Election Day to remove all the hot air from most of Oklahoma.
A strong cold front barreled through the Sooner State in recent
hours, plunging temperatures into the 50s and lower. Some portions
of the Panhandle reprised the freezing temperatures they observed
in mid-October.
Speaking of reprises, the Ticker has resurrected its Autumn Freeze
Monitor. This graphic shows the total number of hours below freezing
since October 1, and the lowest temperature achieved during the period.
