An Open Letter To Mother Nature

Regarding: Saturday's Weather
Enclosure:

To Whoever's in Charge:

Thank you for Saturday afternoon. If we could describe it in one
word, it would be:

Absolutely, quintessentially and purely idyllic - an afternoon
to which all afternoons should aspire. The Sky yawned a wide berth
for our Sun, who smiled the perfect combination of brilliance and
February gentility. Even the stubborn Wind, accustomed to supremacy
this time of year, threw away his ambitions in the face of such a
masterpiece. Instead, he participated gently, quietly, warmly.
Lakes begged for lures, ballgloves actually rattled on their shelves,
sidewalks clamored for more wagons, more bikes, more tykes on trikes.
That afternoon was so perfectly composed and so flawlessly executed,
it left us all a day younger.

In short, can you do it again this Saturday?

Sincerely,
The Entire Ticker Staff
