Documenting the Weekend Freeze
Sub-freezing temps were observed by Mesonet stations across the
state over the weekend. The following graphic shows two numbers
per station: the larger blue number indicates the number of hours
spent below freezing, and the smaller gray number indicates the
lowest temperature observed during the period.
Freezing temperatures in late March aren't uncommon in Oklahoma.
In fact, this event was later than the average date only for parts
of southern and southeastern Oklahoma.
