What a Difference The Day Makes
Yesterday's Mesonet high/low map shows wonderfully mild high temps
across Oklahoma, except for north-central Oklahoma, which struggled
to break 50:
A quick look at the Mesonet's daily solar radiation accumulation
reveals the culprit. While most of the state soaked in 15 or more
mega-Joules or more of the Sun, north-central Oklahoma remained
below a deck of cloudiness. Here are yesterday's least sunny
stations in the network:
(By the way, it wasn't all bad in north-central OK. The entire
Ticker staff watched a wintering bald eagle strut his stuff for ten
minutes in a water puddle near the Blackwell Mesonet site)
