Mysterious UFO Buzzes Ticker Building

A strange glowing disk appeared outside today. It slowly crossed the
sky, emitting a brilliant yellow-white light that filled the rooms
of the Ticker Building. Outside, heat from the object could be felt
just about everywhere. Some of the elders around here called this
thing "Sun", and spoke of a time when it appeared daily.

Seriously, it's been a long time since we've seen the Sun. The last
30 days or so have been the rainiest in recent memory ... or have they?

At Will Rogers Airport in OKC, 15 of the last 30 days have included
measurable precipitation, the most in 30 days since ... uh, 2000.
That's right: two whole years ago 21 of 30 days (Oct 13, 2000 through
Nov 11, 2000) featured measurable precipitation. In fact, nearly
a third of the years on record at OKC feature rainier 30-day stretches.

At Tulsa's International Airport, 18 of the last 30 days have featured
measurable precipitation. This mark is surpassed by 22 of 30 days
during Spring 1957, 19 of 30 days during the aforementioned Fall 2000,
March 1973 and (get this) August 1933.

It's definitely been a rainy month, but it could be (and has been)
rainier!
