Mission Accomplished: Take the Rest of the Month Off
The first three days of July 2002 have been anything but July-like for
much of Oklahoma. Rainfall observations and estimates in some parts
of southern and eastern Oklahoma have already approached or exceeded
normals for the entire month! Normal July rainfall ranges from just
under two inches in western Oklahoma to nearly four inches in the far
southeastern corner of the state.
More rain is certainly welcome, especially in western Oklahoma,
where missing out on the bulk of precipitation events has become an
unfortunate 13-month-long pattern.
