Coach, The Sun Got in Our Eyes

On the opening week of baseball season, the Mesonet is experiencing
the same age old problem as infielders and outfielders have faced for
generations: the Sun.

The Sun's recent activity is affecting the earth's magnetic field,
which is impacting communications across the globe. Because the
Mesonet uses relatively low-power radios, it is not immune from the
effects of the solar storms.

You will probably see sporadic communications from some of our more
remote sites until the solar storm passes.
