Some Relief for Eastern Oklahoma

A cold front has advanced into much of eastern and central Oklahoma,
knocking temperatures down into low-to-mid 90s in those areas.
Waurika's 3:15pm temperature of 98 F may seem hot, but it's a full
twelve degrees cooler than yesterday at that time.

Many locations in eastern Oklahoma also received some desperately-
needed rainfall this morning. Eight Mesonet stations observed a
quarter-inch or more (hey, it's not much, but we'll take it):

Claremore 0.45"
Porter 0.36"
Wilburton 0.31"
Haskell 0.31"
Eufaula 0.30"
Stigler 0.29"
Nowata 0.27"
