Thunderstorms Once Again

For the second evening and overnight period in a row, thunderstorms
brought strong winds and heavy rains to much of Oklahoma.  The stiffest
gust observed by the Mesonet was 84 mph at Minco, as a cluster of storms
approached the station.  Heavy rains an very intense lightning
(especially in the Tulsa area) followed a very impressive and quite
long gust front.

So far, as of 2:30 pm today, no stations had hit 100 F yet, but several
in the southwest were knocking on the door.
