On This Day in Oklahoma Weather History

On June 27, 1994, the Tipton Mesonet station measured a maximum
temperature of 120 F.  This tied the record set on four different
days in 1936, and tied again in 1943:

Don't Look Now, But ...

With rain chances in the state forecast for the rest of the week,
several climate divisions might threaten their records for the
wettest June on record.  According to preliminary data, as of
midnight last night, the northeast, west central and east central
climate divisions were within about three inches of their record
for the month.
