Mesonet Freeze Update (subtitled: Who said Oklahoma has no terrain?)
With the exception of the panhandle west of Guymon, most of Oklahoma
escaped a hard or prolonged freeze this morning, according to Oklahoma
Mesonet data. In fact, only eight Mesonet stations did time below 32 F
last night:

Yes, that's right, Antlers. Just before sunrise, the winds in this
Kiamichi River Valley station shifted to the northwest, and a tongue
of cold air followed. This author would guess that the Antlers station
got a taste of some good old-fashioned cold air drainage.
