Next Week: Mesonet's 5th Birthday!
Wednesday, March 10th will mark the fifth anniversary of the official
commissioning of the Oklahoma Mesonet. In five years, the Oklahoma
mesonet has reported and archived more than 800 million different
atmospheric and sub-surface environmental observations.
Each day next week, in addition to normal material, the Ticker will
take a look at the facts, figures, milestones and accomplishments
of the five commissioned years of the Mesonet and some Mesonet-related
projects which have evolved during that time.
Enjoy It While It Lasts
Eastern Oklahoma Mesonet stations are observing some of their warmest
temperatures of the year this afternoon, as a cold front creeps eastward
from I-35. Temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s are being erased and
replaced with low-to-mid 60s.
