Drying Trend Seen Over Central Oklahoma
Today's Oklahoma Mesonet observations indicate a fairly localized
drying trend over central Oklahoma, as of 2:00 pm.
Dew Points from roughly Tahelquah to OKC to Norman to Lawton have
been falling this afternoon, and the southern edge of this area
coincides with the southern edge of higher Mesonet solar radiation
values, which indicate clearer skies.
This feature appears the surface indication of a subsidence regime
which has been eroding the cloud shield over eastern Oklahoma from
northwest to southeast this afternoon.
