Rainfall Pages Overhauled

Two OCS seasonal rainfall pages have been upgraded beginning August 13.


Recent Mesonet Rainfall

This page presents cumulative rainfall totals at each Mesonet station
for the past 7-, 10-, 14-, 30-, 60- and 90-day periods.

In response to user requests, rainfall totals from periods which
contain missing data will now be included in the table.  In addition,
the rainfall data will undergo a more rigorous real-time evaluation by
Mesonet quality assurance routines.

Days which contain missing or questionable data will not be included
in the period's cumulative total.  The number of disregarded days in
each period will be displayed alongside the rainfall total.

Another change:  The rainfall totals now reflect CST/CDT days, instead
of "Greenwich" (UTC) days.

Oklahoma Rainfall Update

The "Dry Season" of the Oklahoma Rainfall Update will now carry a
beginning date of April 1, 1998.  This date more accurately represents
the onset of the current dry spell for a larger portion of the state.

The companion images will also reflect the new date.
