Hey, it rained!

What, you didn't notice? Well, some of you probably did, and some of you may
be wondering what the heck I'm talking about. If you were under one of those
areas that saw thunderstorms form and re-form, then you probably got a lake-load
of water over the weekend (yeah, we're talking about you, Oilton!). Or, if you
lived somewhere in west central Oklahoma, you are probably still running your
humidifier. We'll let the Mesonet 4-day rainfall map tell the story.

The HPC maps predicted a bullseye up in northeast Oklahoma, and darned if they
didn't get it right. Hey, it happens! A thousand monkeys typed this Ticker, after
all. But you can definitely see a streak from Caddo County all the way northeast
through Ottawa County where those storms formed and then trained over the same
area. A more general rain was had to the southeast of about 1-2 inches, although
some localized areas had as much as 3 inches.

The look ahead finds us with another stretch of dry weather, unfortunately.

And temperatures are going to soar over the next couple of days. It will feel a
bit like late summer across the state before a dry cold front passage cools
things down to more seasonable levels mid-week.

No game-changing weather showing up just yet for the state. We might be in for
an extended warm and dry spell for awhile.

Lots of beautiful weather, unless you're in severe-to-exceptional drought. Oh
wait, 100% of our state resembles that remark.

Enough with the beautiful! Bring on the ugly.

I heard that! (thought I was gone, didn't ya)
