Outdoor Burning Banned in 24 Oklahoma Counties
Outdoor burning has been banned by the Governor's Office in 24 counties in eastern and southeastern Oklahoma, and along the Red River. Wildfire danger is rated as "extreme" in these counties by the Forestry Division.

Data from the Oklahoma Fire Danger Model indicates high fire danger early this afternoon and Keetch-Byram Drought Indices reaching severe levels over much of eastern, southern and southeastern Oklahoma.
