It's Hot

Today marks the ninth consecutive day that the Buffalo and Fairview
Mesonet stations have observed high temperatures at or above 100 F.
Nineteen other Mesonet stations have seen eight straight 100+ degree
days. A comprehensive list follows the Ticker.

If it's any consolation, here is some Ticker text from exactly
one year ago:

"Today marks the 25th consecutive of 100+ degree temperatures at
Ardmore, Grandfield, Lane, Tishomingo, Walters and Waurika, and
the 45th consecutive day that at least one Meosnet station has
observed 100+ highs. In addition to the 25-straight gang,
51 Mesonet stations are sporting streaks of 13 or more days."

-- OCS/Mesonet Ticker, July 30, 1998

(Those six stations would go on to break 100 F on 29 consecutive days)
