Spring Trek

Hailing frequencies open (HA! Nerds...oh wait, I wrote that). Any OTHER intelligent
life forms out there besides me looking for spring to stick around this time?
Well, any OTHER life forms. I've been told I don't belong to the latter category.
Who am I to argue? Everybody else is focused on the severe weather threat tomorrow.
I'm keeping my eye on temperatures. We're gonna have a lovely day, albeit windy,
today.

Wow, that looks nice, eh? Tomorrow will be nice for some, but another vapid,
stupid, insipid soul-draining cold front will spoil the beginning of the weekend
for some, and the rest of the weekend for everybody else. So our highs in the
70s and 80s will give way to highs in the 50s (a few 40s here, a few 60s there),
and a frost/freeze scenario for the northwestern half of the state.

Okay, rant off. Now let's talk about what everybody else cares about...the
severe weather threat. Along with that storm system that's dragging the cold
front through the state, we're gonna see some showers and storms. The
southeastern half of the state is the likely bet, at least SE of I44, with
Friday being the main show. There could be some showers and storms tonight
across northern sections of the state, but not quite the same severe potential
as tomorrow. Friday's action looks to be mostly ye olde hail/wind threat, but
(altogether now, in whatever sing-song voice you want to use) IT'S SPRINGTIME
IN OKLAHOMA, SO THE TORNADO THREAT IS LOW, BUT NOT ZERO!

Finally, as for the current drought situation, we're adding just a tad bit of
"abnormally dry" conditions in the far southwest, but otherwise, no drought
at this time in Oklahoma.

We are getting a bit dry over the last 60+ days, so any rain we can get would
be a good thing.
