Angry Chair

You "Network" fans thought I was going to say "hell," didn't ya? Ha! No chance.
Ummmmm, well, never mind. I'm just mad enough to take the heat. I mean cold.

Prepare for the crankiest Ticker EVER.

Because I AM mad as HECK and I'm NOT going to take this anymore. By "this" I
mean winter. I mean, seriously, the coldest air of the season...in March? Really?
By now I'd expect SOME cold air, interspersed with lovely spring previews. A 76
here, a 48 there, maybe a low or two in the 20s, then up to 65. But nooooooo.
We get wind chills below zero on Sunday and Monday, and lows in the single
digits. And highs in the 20s! And more ice. More snow.

Wait, I'm now getting word that there isn't anything I can do about this, and
I WILL take this, whether I like it or not. Well, isn't that lovely!
And to top it off, we have drought back in Oklahoma for the first time since
Christmas. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU, TOO!

Oh, it's just a smidgen, but that's how it starts, doesn't it? This is built off
dry weather that started well ever 3 months ago, but the last 30 days haven't
helped far western Oklahoma either.

And there's not much help showing up anytime soon, either.

If there's one saving grace of the cold weather, it's helping to keep the
evaporative demands down. And the wheat is probably a bit behind, so maybe
that will help protect it from the cold. If we had a warm winter and February
and saw this type of cold coming in early March, we might be in bigger trouble.

(start Oscar moment)

But wouldn't it be better if it just didn't get that cold? Isn't there something
we can do? We have to fight it! So I want you to get up now. I want all of you
to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the
window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'I'M AS MAD AS HECK, AND
I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!' I want you to get up right now, sit up,
go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as
hecl and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Things have got to change. But
first, you've gotta get mad!... You've got to say, 'I'm as mad as heck, and I'm
not going to take this anymore!' Then we'll figure out what to do about the
drought and the ice and the cold air crisis. But first get up out of your
chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: "I'M AS MAD
AS HECK, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!"

(end Oscar moment)

Wait, I'm getting further word...I can "wear a coat" and "not go outside."
Well, that's different then. Never mind.
