Doldrums?

http://ticker.mesonet.org/archive/20200720/7day-rain-forecast.png

Hey now, even during the worst of the summer doldrums, a bit of excitement can pop
up every now and again. The Panhandle, for instance, has seen rain a few times
even during this time where the death ridge/heat dome controls our weather. Along
that northern edge a few small storm systems can travel up and over the top of
that ridge and bring rain; more precisely, thunderstorms. Check out the generous
rainfall totals over the last 5 days up that way, and then see where Boise City
recorded an 83 mph wind gust at the Mesonet site there.

Yeah, wow is right (no, the Ticker doesn't work like Alexa...we just know you
said it). "Ticker, now show me the last 30 days."

Okay, maybe it does work like Alexa. "Ticker, show me the rain forecast for the
next 100 days."

Yeah, nice try. How about we just look towards next week?

Ugh indeed. Well, here's the deal...here in the doldrums of late July, what you
see is what you expect: heat, but nothing too extreme; rain in northern
Oklahoma, but with all this heat and humidity other parts of the state could
see a stray storm or two; and scurvy. So be sure and eat your fruits and
vegetables.

Oh, still want that 100-day rain forecast? Here ya go.

Glad to help.
