Not that we want much of that, but at least it gets the old blood pumping. All those days over the past 7 or 8 months refreshing forecast maps and looking at data and all that to see when the next storm system could strike: over! https://ticker.mesonet.org/archive/20240612/june19-25-outlooks.png Now you know me (STALKER ALERT!!)...I love a good hot day, but you know what lies in wait for us now: lots of scanning the heat index maps! I can match the best of them on a nice dry, hot day...if "them" is who I think them is, but put me in a high heat index day and you might as well pour me into a bucket and store me in the cellar. Wait, that's awfully "Criminal Minds" sounding. How about "stick me under an air conditioning vent until the dew point drops below 70?"
