Have people lost their ever-lovin' minds? I expected the push back last week when I complained about the lack of summer thus far (actually the lack of that nice blast furnace dry heat I'm used to from my days growing up in the High Plains), but now wind chills in the 30s? I DARE ya to defend Mother Nature on that one! Granted, that was confined to the far northwest, but in reality that's the most important part of the state, given that the best town in America (ahem...Buffalo) is up there. And yes, Buffalo's 44 degree wind chill was uncalled for as well. But it wasn't just the wind chills. Our Eva Mesonet site tied the record for the lowest temperature ever recorded on this date, matching records from the early 1900s. -***- June 10 Top 5 Historical Low Temperatures Location Low Temp (F) Year Eva Mesonet 40 2019 Boise City 40 1908 Boise City 40 1910 Okeene 40 1903 Vinita 41 1988 -****- Here we can see the actual low temps from this morning and the record lows from across the state.
