Deadweed

We're gonna have to accentuate the positive here, despite the December'ish lows,
because SOME of us have walking pneumonia, and SOME of us have been sick off and
on since mid-September, and SOME of us have hacked up THREE lungs during that
span.

Yes, I'm talking about the most handsome State Climatologist in Oklahoma right
now (also ugliest, since there's only one of us, but also the most hair!). But
here's what's actually good about the cold weather:

1. If you're gonna be sick, might as well be cold out.
2. The freeze should kill some of that ragweed off.
3. NO MORE MOWING!
5. Too cold to waste time with 4s.

So here's who froze last night, at least at our Mesonet locations. And remember,
there are probably a lot of low-lying areas around the state that saw a frost
or freeze that's not showing up on our maps. But if you are around a station
that got down to like 34-36 or so, you might have at least had a frost at
your locations.

Here are the stations that actually got down to the freezing mark.

Okay, so we tried to stay positive above, but here's some REAL positivity...the
warm weather will be back, and possibly for awhile.

YAYYYYY, am I right? Hopefully the lawn got the message, though. Could it still
grow? I guess so, but in some areas, it's not the cold that's causing the
problem but the lack of rainfall. The newest Drought Monitor shows some pretty
good improvement across the northern half of the state (or so)...not so much
across the southern half. We even saw a new area develop down there in Stephens
and Jefferson counties.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of rain on the horizon...this week or next.

Now fess up...who turned on their heater this morning?
