Tolerable

Everything is relative, right? Like, next to Vin Diesel, I have a full head of
hair. And next to a bowl of buzzard beaks, Strawberry Pop-Tarts are quite tasty.
And next to Brad Pitt, I'm pretty darned handsome.

Okay, ONE of those is fake, obviously. Vin and I have the same barber.

Here's another true one: yesterday, for all but far SW OK, was pretty nice for a
mid-to-late August day.

Now you throw in the heat index and it was still "hot" for the SW half of so of
the state, but not HOT hot like it was previously.

So acclimation really does work. And that's a good thing, because when the heat
comes back later this week, we'll be ready for it.

Again though (and though again), not quite as hot as previously. Now one thing
staying the same is the lack of rainfall over the next 7 days.

More good news...it's looking more and more likely that sometime late next week,
we will get our first fall-ish cold front close to fall.

I say close to fall, which starts Sept. 1 for us weather types, because we
had a fall-ish cold front earlier in August already.

We'll be ready for next week's front, SHOULD it actually occur.
