Vote yes for rain

Well I had to say it, didn't I? And just in case you were wondering, YES, a
2-county snow deserves the Braum's map!

For the restuvus, so close to Festivus...we get rain. Well, sorta, as we will see
diminishing totals as the storm eventually moves east. That might take awhile as
this upper-level low is a slow-mover...think turtles.

Hey, I like turtles!

Anyway, the storm is gonna dive south eventually, and the rainfall pattern will
mirror that movement. We do have some pretty good totals thus far across far
western OK, especially for December.

And those totals will continue to go up over the next couple of days.

Notice that only goes out 48 hours, and just a bit of that rain has fallen
already, but those totals look pretty realistic through Friday morning. Going
out a little farther, we can see minor totals to the east as well.

Now about that snow...you ain't getting any. At least most of you. But we do
have a winter storm warning for Cimarron County, and a traveler's advisory for
Texas County, where we could see totals ranging from about 6 inches to the west
to around an inch or so to the east.

Other than all that mess, we'll just wait for this storm system to pass, then
it appears we have clear (and I mean CLEAR) sailing through next week.

Notice that green spreading east? It does look like right around next weekend
there will be another chance of moisture. LIQUID moisture, before you get
too excited.

Bitter cold? Ice? Snow? New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, maybe? That's how I
remember Oklahoma working.
