Summer: Part Infinity

Somebody actually called me a bad name (no, not "Texan") last week when I said I
thought Oklahoma would see its first freeze of the year over the weekend.

And that really hurt, Mom.

Just kidding. I did actually think of some bad names for Mother Nature when my
incredibly scientific calculations (i.e., educated guess) came true, thanks to
Beaver on Saturday.

And now we're off and running.

Call me stupid (no reason, really...just thought you'd like to), but that there
is just decades of Oklahoma weather experience sussing that first freeze out of
the ether. Now we go back to the heat of SUMMER Fall before we get to go back to
FALL fall by the weekend. Thursday ahead of a front could be up in the 90s for
southern OK with some compressional heating (and we all know just how painful that
can be) and downslope'ish winds. One hundred? Don't count it out!

That cold front looks rather pleasant for a diversion from this week's heat, and
it could stick around awhile. Again. We may get to add to that freeze map over
the weekend in the Panhandle. Again.

As for rain? Well, hoping for something along the front but it looks mostly
dry to me (which is better to hear from your proctologist than your state
climatologist).

By the way, still watching this space for Halloween:
