Take it outside
Wait a minute, this might work! I know we're back into Fantasycast territory, with
Thanksgiving still 9 days away, but next week's temperature outlook, uhhhhh,
looks downright toasty. I've seen some model output with highs in the 70s that
day (again, wayyy too far out), but it's a possibility. And it doesn't look
like we will see big chances of precip, at least this far out.
I'm betting (with your money, of course) we will see a day more like this week,
with a cool morning, a warm afternoon, and dry. Oh, and wind. There is always
wind. Lots of folks are probably thinking of an outdoor Thanksgiving this year,
and this might be the year where the weather cooperates. Just be sure and put a
rock on your paper plate or you could end up chasing your candied yams into the
neighbor's yard, and we all know just how painful that can be.
We have to get through this week first, with lots of unseasonably warm weather
(e.g., 70s and 80s over the next couple of days) and a bunch of fire danger
(especially out west).
Temperatures will tick down later in the weekend with a cold front, and a
chance of rain. In case you hadn't noticed, the moisture pretty much took a
vacation after the ice storm.
As per usual, forecast rain amounts look higher to the east, but we'll take
anything we can get at this point.
So pass me a turkey leg. Oh, and the sunscreen.
