Boom?

Hey, we said boring weather can be good, and with the cleanup from
ICETOBERMAGEDDON 2020 still underway, it's been even gooder (greater, for those
sticklers that insist on stuff like grammar, and spelling). In fact, we've had a
good 10 days so far of decent weather, with just a bit of wind here and there
to make things a bit messy.

Ten days without precip is about par for the course for La Nina, with longer
periods in between moisture events with occasional boring-to-real.doozy storm
systems coming through. We're going to get some in-between boring and doozy
systems over the next week or so, with a front coming through tonight that will
kick off those possible storms tonight across northern Oklahoma, then another
chance this weekend. We're not talking flooding rains here, but enough to wet the
dust at least.

We have been fairly mild for this time of year following the ice storm, and
overall, that should continue. We'll see minor bumps down in temperature
tomorrow following the front, then seasonable again before another little bump
on Friday with the weekend front.

This morning's lows, which could be surpassed (or underpassed??) later tonight
as the front comes through, we were again flirting with highest minimum
temperature records.

After this week's sort of seasonable type of weather pattern, with a bit of
moisture, we could be headed towards another extended period of warm, dry
weather.

No need to worry too much about tonight's storms, should they form. Nothing
too scary, just a bit of wind and hail, possibly.

Someday, the weather will be not boring again. It's too scary to guess what that
lack of boring will be, so enjoy the humdrum until then.
