How about some dry heat?

You're danged right we love summer. Unapologetically, even! But we don't love
humidity. It turns our lovely 95-100 degree blast furnace weather (with heat
index values dialed down to 90-95...that dry air does allow some lovely cooling
evaporation) into "we're so done with summer" weather.

I'll leave some space for cursing my love of summer here.

Okay, a bit more time...please continue.

Almost done?

Okay, now back to reality. A very hot, sweaty, even life-threatening reality.
Yesterday's heat index values were bad enough, but to think we have a few more
days of this is a bit much, no?

Here are some scary looking maps from our local NWS friends, spelling out the
heat index dangers for today.

Just remember, all that rain pretty much guaranteed this would occur once that
heat dome moved over our area. Others said this summer would be mild. I knew
better! Well, I didn't KNOW better, I THOUGHT better. Or thought worse. OH
WHATEVER, you know what I mean.

Correct, Coach Gundy, it tweren't true!

It's not all bad, however. There *MIGHT* be some 80s in the forecast for early
next week. That's the deal that we talked about in that Ticker from June 25.
When the heat dome is away, the 80s and 90s will play.

But when it's over us. Well...SERENITY NOW!
