Told ya so!

Well, *I* didn't tell ya so. I told ya so what others told ya so. So if what I
told ya so that others told ya so didn't happen, I wasn't the one that took the
blame for telling ya so, it would be the ones that told me so that told ya so.

But like I told ya so (don't make me go through that again), it rained! The
central Panhandle has become a rain forest, as far as a flat, treeless terrain
can be called a forest. That 2 inches that fell in Texas County adds to recent
rains for 30-day totals of 4-6 inches...maybe more in some places looking at the
radar estimated returns. That's nearly a third of their normal annual total.

The rain isn't over yet, either. A cold front today currently moving through
northwest OK will generate more showers and storms later today and impact the
southeastern half of the state (a few storms may be severe, stay tuned to your
favorite weather source), hopefully bringing them some much needed rainfall.

We should probably see a repeat of the weather of the last 24 hours again on
Friday, and possibly several more times over the weekend. more Mesoscale
Convective Systems (MCS) will form somewhere to our northwest and then trudge
through the state, feeding off of strong moisture flow from the Gulf to generate
these large blobs of showers and storms. So while nothing like what they're
seeing to our north, still some decent precip right as fake summer (THOU SHALT
HAVE NO OTHER SUMMERS BEFORE CLIMATOLOGICAL SUMMER) begins.

The far northeastern part of Oklahoma is the area of the state in danger for
the most rainfall, and therefore will be seeing flash- and areal-flooding
dangers on the upswing. Once the upper-level low pressure system to our north
starts to pull away, a lot of the impetus for all this rain will go with it and
we'll head back to a somewhat more summery pattern next week.

Will it happen? I'm telling ya so, ain't I?
