OCS Launches New Website!

The Oklahoma Climatological Survey launched a new web site today to better serve
the citizens and decision-makers of Oklahoma.

http://climate.mesonet.org/

The new web site of the Oklahoma Climatological Survey provides direct access
to the data, products, and services of OCS with a click of a button. The
Climate, Weather, Research, Outreach, and Reports tabs link you to the
following information:

Climate: current and historical information that places today's weather in
context with our weather history, including decision-support pages for Oklahoma
weather hazards and basic information for visitors or newcomers to the state

Weather: a wealth of current and past weather data from the nation's premier
surface observing network: the Oklahoma Mesonet

Research: an overview of our research activities, publications, and
opportunities for collaboration

Outreach: links to our award-winning education and outreach programs that
enable local decision making and learning

Reports: links to some of our reports, statements, and publications that
demonstrate the breadth and depth of research and service that we provide to
protect lives and property, encourage economic development, and advance
scientific knowledge

Our new home page displays some of our most popular products, such as our
monthly summaries and OCS/Mesonet Ticker, as well as keeps you up-to-date on
what's happening at OCS. For more updates, join our Facebook or Twitter
followers by clicking on the icons in the lower right of our new home page.

If you have comments about the page, please email us at ocs@ou.edu. We will
continue to make improvements to the page as we determine what folks want to
see. If you feel something important is missing, be sure to let us know!

p.s. The entire Ticker staff implores you to not feed the Scissor-tailed
Flycatcher on the front page. Those flies splatting against your computer
screen would be pretty disgusting.
