Horace Greeley was onto something!
Tired of this long long (okay, 4 days) bout of typical-but-seems-worse-because-
we've-been-sorta-warm winter weather we've been having in Oklahoma? Well, go west
young man (and lady), because the western Panhandle doth approach 70 degrees.
The Oklahoma Mesonet sites at both Kenton and Boise City are currently 25 degrees
warmer than they were yesterday at 1:45 p.m., courtesy of a lee trough and some
compressional heating.
This is after one of the season's coolest mornings thus far.
Proof positive once again that the Panhandle is the best place to live in
Oklahoma! (bias intended)
