News Flash for Eliot: April Ain't Necessarily the Cruelest Month.
Still working through some email requests:
"Does the humidity in Oklahoma generally drop off about the
first of July (we can only hope)?"
Well (cue evil laugh), the dewpoint fun has just begun. July's
average dewpoints are greater than June's. And so are August's.
Here's a movie of the average dewpoints across Oklahoma on a
month-by-month basis:

As the summer progresses, so too does the utter dominance of
southerly (and south-southeasterly) winds. It's hard to stop the
influence of the Gulf of Mexico on our dewpoints. The only thing
we can really do about it is perspire (and, unfortunately,
perspiration's effectiveness goes down as RH goes up).
