OCS and the Mesonet are Moving!
Well, to be fair, that headline isn't entirely true. The Mesonet
stations themselves will remain, uh, stationary. But ... the rest of
the equipment, people and things are moving to the new National
Weather Center over the weekend.
Here's the official announcement from OCS Director Renee McPherson:
The Oklahoma Climatological Survey and the Oklahoma Mesonet are
moving to the National Weather Center building on the Research
Campus of the University of Oklahoma. Our offices will be closed
from 1 PM on Friday, August 25th until 8 AM on Tuesday, August 29th.
Our new address will be:
Oklahoma Climatological Survey
120 David L. Boren Blvd., Suite 2900
Norman, OK 73072-7305
Our main phone number will continue to be (405) 325-2541, but the
number may be disconnected during the move. We also will maintain
the Oklahoma Mesonet phone number at (405) 325-3231. Email services
will continue at ocs@ou.edu and operator@mesonet.org throughout
the move.
We look forward to serving you better after the move. Our reference
library and helpful staff will be available to serve our customers.
Visitor parking is available at the new building. Because we will
share our facility with federal offices, visitors are asked to sign
in at the security desk at the first floor entrance before continuing
to the OCS main office on the second floor (Suite 2900).
We apologize for any inconvenience during this time.
