Pontotoc County gets FITT

We'd like to announce a birth. Weighing in at 200 pounds, at about
394 inches long, Fittstown Mesonet Station (it goes by FITT) has
arrived.

During FITT's few months of gestation, sites were surveyed, instruments
were rounded up, radios calibrated. Thanks to a labor and delivery
team (delivery, then labor, actually) of Mesonet technicians and
operations staff, FITT came into the world on May 13th, and was
officially activated yesterday.

FITT can now blast its five-watt signal across southern Pontotoc
County and into your homes!
