Dry Conditions Continue to Plague Most of State

For most Oklahomans, it's dry out there.

Portions of southwest Oklahoma have received just a few inches of rain
in the last 90 days, which is well below normal:




This deficit has taken a toll on winter wheat growers in the area.
Reports of crop failure in the region seem to be supported by the
latest NDVI image:



Some of that red area from Duncan westward should look greenish, like
the rest of the winter wheat belt to the north, where the emerging
wheat is still surviving.
