November 2000 Much Cooler than Normal

The Ticker, a victim of a faulty machine count and clouded judgement
late on a Thursday night, would like to retract its earlier projection
and that November was warmer than normal. The latest hand recount
indicates that the month will actually go into the "cooler than normal"
column. In fact, with almost all Mesonet observations reporting, the
Ticker will concede that this November will go down as the 4th coolest
November on record.

The numbers given Thursday night were generated from a listing of
daily maximum temperatures, rather than mean daily temperatures.
We apologize for the error. The corrected values appear below.
