Heavy Rain Drenches Northeast Oklahoma
Very heavy rainfall plagued northeastern Oklahoma once again during
the overnight and early morning hours. Many locations had already
experienced flooding from heavy weekend rains. This morning, flood
warnings had been issued for various locations along the Caney, Neosho,
Verdigris and Spring Rivers.
Here are some selected Mesonet rainfall accumulations from Friday
afternoon through noon today. Several stations exceeded the Northeast
climate division's normal May monthly precipitation value of 4.82" in
just 96 hours:
