Storms Pepper Eastern Oklahoma

Scattered afternoon thundershowers have popped up in areas of the state,
most impressively in the eastern third of Oklahoma. The showers in the
east provide some relief for locations with dewpoint temperatures
which reached well into the upper 70s earlier this afternoon.

Some of the showers have very heavy rain, and here are some rainfall
totals from the Oklahoma Mesonet, as of 3:00 pm:

Tahlequah 0.58"
Webbers Falls 0.47"
Antlers 0.42"
Cookson 0.28"
Clayton 0.26"
Stigler 0.13"

The showers still seem to be doing quite well, thank you very much,
so don't be surprised if today's rainfall values in the region increase.
