Oklahoma City's record high for 11/11 was set 87 years ago, on 11/11/11.
The high temperature was 87 F. The record low was also set 87 years ago,
on 11/11/11. The low was 17 F, which blows the whole 87 and 11 number
game.

Nevertheless, the day of November 11th, 1911 was historic, as both the
record high and low were established, and have yet to be broken.

The high of 87 F was set early in the day, as a "norther" swept through
the state. Temperatures fell 50 to 65 degrees in less than 3 hours.
Oklahoma City's daily minimum temperature of 17 F occurred at midnight.

The low temperature on November 12th (14 F) is also a record for the
date. The high temperature on the 12th was 32 F and by the 15th, daytime
temperatures were back into the 70s.
