We are now halfway through the calendar year, and Oklahoma has received
almost exactly the expected preipitation, when averaged spatially over
the state.

Regionally, it's a different story. The three westernmost climate
divisions are 1-3 inches below normal precipitation, and the southern
tier of climate divisions is below normal on the year.

Also, since May 1, every climate division in Oklahoma is well below
normal precipitation. The southern tier of counties and the panhandle
show the greatest deficits for this two-month period, percentage-wise.
